U-Kal is a urinary alkaliser used in the treatment of renal tubular acidosis, gout and kidney stones. Kidney stones are small, hard mineral/acid salt deposits consisting of calcium, phosphate and other minerals/acid salts that aggregate in concentrated urine.

U-Kal Syrup is a medicine used to treat certain urinary problems like kidney stones, gout, and a condition called renal tubular acidosis. Kidney stones are like tiny rocks that form in the kidneys due to minerals and acids sticking together in urine. Renal tubular acidosis is when the kidneys don’t remove enough acids from the body, making the blood too acidic.

U-Kal Syrup contains a substance called disodium hydrogen citrate. When you take it, it turns into a chemical called bicarbonate in your body which helps to make the urine less acidic by increasing the amount of bicarbonate ions in it making it easier for certain substances like cysteine and uric acid to dissolve in the urine, which can further help prevent kidney stones and other urinary problems.
